Some Random Berlin Notes

We were walking down the street late Tuesday night in Berlin, making our way back from the bar when we past one of the many hookers standing on the side of the street. They were reasonably conservatively dressed for hookers. Some of them wear corsets, which to me look a little creepy. Anyways, we past one and she said something to us in German, I responded in German - 'I speak no German' as we passed by. Then she said something in English, but we had already passed. I commented to Sean the following day that from now on when someone complains about learning a foreign language, namely Spanish, my response will be, "even the hookers in Berlin know two languages."

I think it was on Wednesday we met a chick from Australia. She was staying in the same room as us in the hostel. So we chatted with her for a while. She was alone, but we refrained from asking the creepy question, "so... you're traveling alone." She asked us where we were from and such and we told her about us working here and how we are amazing rocket scientists from the future. Okay, I am exaggerating. We said that we are aerospace researchers and do stuff with rockets. Though, we are sometimes curious whether or not people believe us anyways. We might as well be spacemen from the future. She left early Thursday morning for Croatia.

People have continually mistaken us for British (especially in Hannover), which is odd, even Banuti thinks so.

This is the mug with which I drink coffee in the morning. Daniels father works for a pharmaceutical company so that sort of explains it.

Enjoy, -Eric
